Support
Setup takes about five minutes. If something isn’t working, the answer is usually one of the three below.
Email jack@curatorquiz.com.
Include your store’s .myshopify.com address and, if it’s
about a specific quiz, its name. We reply within one business day.
Getting started
- Install Curator Quiz from the Shopify App Store.
- Create a quiz: start from a template, generate one with AI, or build it yourself.
- Score your products against each answer on the Products tab.
- Publish the quiz.
- Add it to your storefront: Online Store › Themes › Customize, pick the page, Add block, choose Product quiz under Apps, paste your quiz ID, and save.
Common problems
The quiz doesn’t appear on my storefront
Publishing a quiz makes it available; it only appears once the app block is added to a page in your theme. Step 5 above is the one people miss. Check too that the block’s quiz ID matches the quiz you published. You can copy the ID from the quiz list.
“Nothing can be recommended until we can read your catalogue”
The app only sees products with a status of Active. Drafts and archived products are invisible to it. If you’ve just changed products, use the refresh on the Products tab: the catalogue is cached for a few minutes, so reloading the page alone won’t pick them up.
Revenue shows zero but I’ve had orders
Revenue is only attributed to orders placed after a shopper took the quiz in that same browsing session. The quiz tags the cart, and we read that tag when the order is paid. Orders placed before you installed the app, or without going through a quiz, correctly show no attribution.
Data and privacy
What the app collects, how long it’s kept, and who processes it is set out in the Privacy Policy. If one of your customers asks for their data, Shopify forwards the request to us automatically and it appears in the app under Support › Customer data requests.
